Twenty96 name is based on Catechism #2096:
“Adoration is the first act of the virtue of religion. To adore God is to acknowledge him as God, as the Creator and Savior, the Lord and Master of everything that exists, as infinite and merciful Love. "You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve," says Jesus, citing Deuteronomy.”
Twenty96 will be a condensed version of Catholic Youth Day consisting of a Youth Group model format. It is designed to get Teens to form holy friendship, fellowship, have fun, and adore Jesus.
Catholic Youth Day
October 1st 2022
Cathedral Camp Grounds
10:00am - 6:00pm
The Diocesan Youth Day celebrates the Catholic Church's annual World Youth Day locally, in between the international World Youth Day. It is a shared initiative between the Bishop's Office and the Secretariat for the New Evanglization. Held each year in our Diocese, the day brings together young people from the Diocese for a fall experience of, activities, speakers, music, and Mass.
4th Watch offers a one-night opportunity to be inspired by speaking and worship teams, encounter Christ in Eucharistic Adoration, and experience mercy in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. In Scripture, during the 4th watch of the night, Jesus came to the Apostles while they kept watch on their boat. Jesus is coming. Meet Him at 4th Watch.
Bring 4th Watch to your parish or school:
Christian Leadership Institute
The Christian Leadership Institute (CLI) is a six-day long leadership training experience for high school age youth sponsored by the Office of Faith Formation. CLI seeks to foster the leadership potential of our young Church by heightening each person's gifts and talents for various ministerial roles and responsibilities in their parishes, schools and greater communities.
June 27th - July 1st
The YES! Retreat is a three-day weekend retreat experience run by a Board of Directors and sponsored by the Secretariat for the New Evangelization. The YES! Retreat provides high school youth an opportunity to encounter God through the sacraments, testimony, fellowship, and a closer examination of self and relationships with others. The experience allows young people to affirm their confirmation promises and return to their communities with renewed conviction and empowerment to bring Christ to others.
The next YES! Retreat will take place March 17-19, 2023
