What is Project Rachel?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Project Rachel is a ministry of the Catholic Church in the U.S. to those who have been involved in abortion. It is a diocesan-based network of specially trained priests, religious, counselors, and laypersons who provide a team response of care for those suffering in the aftermath of abortion. In addition to referring for Sacramental Reconciliation, the ministry provides an integrated network of services, including pastoral counseling, support groups, retreats and referrals to licensed mental health professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the core of Project Rachel is the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession\/Penance), a place where we have the amazing opportunity to encounter God’s endless and loving Mercy, which is the ultimate source of all healing. If you desire, you will be able to meet with one of our specially selected priests who will welcome and counsel you in a prayerful environment with an atmosphere of respect, sensitivity, and confidentiality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
