These components “provide a framework for the Catholic community to respond to the needs of young people and to involve young people in sharing their unique gifts with the larger community (RTV, 26).

The YES! Retreat program provides high school youth who are seeking a closer relationship with God with an opportunity to encounter God through the sharing of sacraments, fellowship, a closer examination of self and relationships with others in community and finally, a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. The weekend experience allows young people to affirm their confirmation promises; to say "Yes" to all that God seeks for and from them; to return to their communities with renewed conviction and empowerment to bring Christ to others.

The NCCYM is the largest adult conference for Catholic Youth Ministers in the country. It is sponsored biennially on even numbered years by the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry in order to help form and transform adults ministering to youth in the Catholic Church. Thousands of youth and campus ministers, religious education leaders, performers and artists and volunteers from every level come together for four days of inspiring keynotes, challenging workshops, dynamic prayer and worship, helpful networking, extensive resources, and good-hearted entertainment. December 9-12, 2010
The National Catholic Youth Conference is an exciting biennial three-day experience of prayer, community, and empowerment for Catholic teenagers and their adults chaperones. The schedule includes general sessions and workshops addressing a wide variety of topics as well as opportunities for reconciliation, daily liturgy, and special activities such as concerts, a dance, and comedy club. NCYC is open to high school age young people and their chaperones (who must be 21 or older). Many youth participants are leaders in their local parishes, schools, and /or diocese, though many are just beginning to connect to their faith. The next NCYC will be in Kansas City, Missouri, November 19-21, 2009. The Diocese of Fall River would like to lead a delegation to Kansas City in 2009. More details to follow.
Youth Minister Certification: The Office of Faith Formation is currently reviewing various programs and methods for training potential youth ministers as well as continuing the formation of current youth ministers throughout the diocese.
